Youth Food Justice Organizing Institute (YFJOI)

The Youth Food Justice Organizing Institute (YFJOI) is an intensive 9 month youth advocacy leadership training program focused on providing youths with the necessary skills to influence changes in their community.

Join a cohort of students across the city organizing for a more just and Sustainable NYC

2023-2024 Program Deadlines

December 31st - Application Deadline

January 17th - 25th - Interviews Dates

January 26th- Acceptance E-mails will be sent out

February 10th - Program BeginS

Interns are paid $17/hour at a biweekly rate

Who should apply to our program?

1. Passionate about making changes in their community

2. Interested in or has experience in grassroots organizing and food justice

3. Ability to work well with others and independently

4. Great communication and organization skills

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Between the ages of 17-22

  • Must live in NYC

  • Available Wednesdays & Saturdays from February through November
